A round trip in a steady wind
A plane flies in a straight line from airport A to airport B and straight back, always at the same airspeed (speed relative to the air). On a calm day the round trip takes a certain time.
On a day with a steady wind blowing from A towards B, is the round trip faster, slower or the same? Many people say "the same, the tailwind and headwind cancel". Check that with numbers.
